So... It seems like most cars here are a lot older than mine... but! I'm really just looking to get to know more people in Winnipeg who are into VW's. Just got my car a month ago, and I love it. Its a 2003 (does anyone else on here own a car made in the new millenium?) Jazz Blue 20th Anniversary Edition GTI. Even if you don't like newer models, hopefully you can appreciate it for its rarity. Only 200 of these were released in Canada, and of those only 50 were painted Jazz Blue.

Looks great!  I am worse than John, I have not made into the '90's yet!! 
So as a new VW owner, do you have any mods or plans for the car?

I'm planning on doing some basic stuff once I get the money. ECU change, rear sway bar, maybe some coilovers, or possibly some nice sidemounted intercoolers. Maybe a turbo-back exhaust. Dunno. Not too much that I want to do body wise. I'd love some smoked headlights. But I mean... I'm broke right now, so this will take some time.
